What the buyer wants
Together Housing Association Limited is seeking suppliers for playground services across its housing portfolio in Northwest and Yorkshire. Lot 1 covers maintenance and repair services for existing playgrounds, while Lot 2 covers design, supply, installation, and major refurbishment or replacement of playground equipment.
Together Housing Group manages a portfolio of approximately 32 playgrounds of varying ages and condition across the Northwest and Yorkshire. This includes 22 playgrounds in Lancashire, 9 in Calderdale and 3 in Salford.
We are seeking tenders from suitably experienced organisations for:
• Lot 1 - Playground maintenance and repair services across the group, covering routine, reactive and corrective works; and
• Lot 2 - Playground design and installation services, including the supply and installation of new play equipment as well as the delivery of full replacement playgrounds.
We intend to appoint a single provider for Lot 1 and up to three providers for Lot 2.

What you will need to show
- Experience in playground services — Suppliers must be suitably experienced organisations capable of providing the required playground maintenance, repair, design, installation, and refurbishment services.
- Capability to perform specified maintenance tasks — For Lot 1, suppliers must be able to perform planned annual ROSPA inspections, routine servicing, reactive repairs, emergency make-safe attendance, component replacement, safety surfacing maintenance, minor refurbishment, condition surveys, asset reporting, and replacement recommendations.
- Capability to design and install playground equipment — For Lot 2, suppliers must be able to design, supply, install, and commission new playground equipment and undertake major refurbishment or replacement of existing play facilities.
Lots
- Playground maintenance and repair services , covering routine, reactive and corrective works — A single provider appoint where we require the following • Planned Annual rpii ROSPA inspections • Routine servicing of playground equipment. • Reactive repairs. • Emergency make-safe attendance. • Replacement of defective components. • Maintenance of safety surfacing. • Minor refurbishment works. • Condition surveys. • Asset reporting. • Recommendations for replacement where equipment is beyond economic repair.
- Playground design and installation services, including the supply and installation of new play equipment as well as the delivery of full replacement playgrounds — This is a three provider appointment where we require providers to design, supply, install and commission new playground equipment and undertake any major refurbishment or replacement of existing play facilities across its housing portfolio.
