What the buyer wants
Bristol City Council seeks to establish a corporate framework for high-quality translation and interpreting services across multiple modalities to ensure accessibility, equality, and consistent service quality at competitive prices.
Bristol City Council is looking to Procure and establish a new corporate Translation and Interpreting Services (TIS) framework to ensure continued access to high-quality language services at competitive prices, supporting the Council's responsibilities for accessibility and equality. The framework provides a trusted pool of qualified interpreters and suppliers, enabling:
1. Efficient access to appropriate language support without delays
2. Consistent service quality and defined standards
3. Clear contractual arrangements that support transparency and accountability
How Tenderoo reads it
This is a framework agreement: a place on it puts you on the buyer's approved list, which they call work off from over the term. It is not a single job, and a small firm can hold a place alongside national suppliers.
The notice reads as suitable for a small or medium-sized firm: the scope, value and requirements are within reach of a business of that size.
