What the buyer wants
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks specialist mechanical, commercial gas, boiler and mechanical contractors for planned minor works, remedial works, lifecycle replacements, upgrades and new installations across its estate in the South East. This contract excludes reactive maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance, which remain with the Trust's Hard FM contractor.
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) employs approximately 5000 staff made up of community nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists, dental staff, sexual health and many other health care professionals and corporate services.
KCHFT is one of the largest community health providers in England, serving a population of 1.4 million people across Kent, East Sussex and parts of London Boroughs in settings such as schools, people’s homes, community clinics and community hospitals.
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) seeks to appoint competent specialist mechanical, commercial gas and boiler and mechanical contractors to undertake planned minor works, condition-led remedial works, lifecycle replacements, upgrades and new installations across the Trust estate in the South East.
This arrangement is separate and distinct from reactive maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). Reactive response and PPM remain the responsibility of the Trust appointed Hard FM contractor, unless the Trust determines otherwise through its governance and instruction process.
The purpose of this arrangement is to provide the Trust with direct access to specialist contractors for non-reactive boiler and associated mechanical services works arising from inspections, insurance inspections, statutory examinations, PPM findings, compliance inspections, water safety reviews, energy reviews, lifecycle assessments, service change requirements, risk reviews or assurance concerns.
