The framework allows staff to arrange services without individual procurement processes. No limit on participating contractors; no guaranteed volume of work.

Argyll and Bute Council is looking to appoint contractors to a Traffic Management Services Framework to be used by Roads & Infrastructure Services.

Installing, Maintaining and Removing Temporary Traffic Management on Rural and Urban Roads as per Chapter 8 of standards for safe execution of programmed construction works.

The framework will allow roads and amenities staff to arrange traffic management services when required, without the need for an individual procurement process.

The framework is to be formed by all qualified contractors with no limit to number of participating contractors.

Please note that a framework agreement is not a contract and as such there is no guarantee of any volume of work. Each order (call off) constitutes a separate contract.

Description as published on Public Contracts Scotland: read the official notice.

How Tenderoo reads it

This is a framework agreement: a place on it puts you on the buyer's approved list, which they call work off from over the term. It is not a single job, and a small firm can hold a place alongside national suppliers.

The notice reads as suitable for a small or medium-sized firm: the scope, value and requirements are within reach of a business of that size.
