What the buyer wants
Kirklees Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for construction contractors, subcontractors, and ancillary services to undertake repair and maintenance works for its asset portfolio. The DPS will remain open to new entrants throughout its lifespan to accommodate changing requirements and regulations, with a maximum contract term of 120 months and an estimated value of £154 million.

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (including Kirklees neighbourhood housing identified as the 'Council' is seeking to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for construction contractors, subcontractors and ancillary services to undertake repair/ maintenance works/services for its portfolio of assets.
The Authority have opted to establish a DPS as it is deemed the most appropriate option to meet its requirements and will enable a clear, consistent and compliant route to market. The DPS will be open to new entrants throughout its lifespan to allow coverage for ever changing requirements, including but not limited to new regulations and central government requirements.

Please disregard the Contract Start and Contract End dates on this notice. Further competitions will be issued as required throughout the lifetime of the DPS with subsequent service delivery at the times indicated in each specific further competition.
The Closing Date (23/02/2029) in Contracts Finder has been amended in accordance with the transitional arrangements of the Procurement Act 2023.
A variation to the DPS allows for the term to be extended for further periods, up to a maximum extended term of 60 months. The contract period shall not exceed 120 months.
