What the buyer wants

Procurement for Housing is establishing a multi-lot framework agreement for the supply, installation, commissioning, handover, and maintenance of communal doors and door entry systems across the UK. The framework is divided into nine lots covering different materials and contractor/manufacturer roles, with a contract duration of two years plus two optional one-year extensions.

Established in 2004, Procurement for Housing (PfH) is a national procurement consortium dedicated to the social housing sector and supported by the National Housing Federation (NHF), Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and HouseMark. Collectively, our Members manage more than 90% of UK' social housing stock, with PfH helping them to achieve efficiency savings using a wide range of services including framework agreements, dynamic purchasing systems, spend analyses, strategy reviews, consolidated billing and comprehensive reporting. PfH is a contracting authority under section 2 of the Procurement Act 2023 and a centralised procurement authority under section 1(4) of that Act.

Please refer to www.pfh.co.uk for additional information.

PfH is administered by Inprova Limited and is headquartered in the North West of England, with over 20 years of expertise and experience offering a complete procurement solutions package across outsourcing, technology and consultancy. By integrating procurement services and technology, Inprova operates as a delivery partner, supporting business performance improvement for the public sector.

PfH is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced organisations under a multi-lot Framework to provide Aluminium/Steel/Stainless Steel/Timber Communal Doors and Audio/Video Door Entry Systems (Wired and Non-Wired). The Framework does not cover non Communal Doors such as front doors for houses or fire doors.

The Framework is structured into 9 Lots and will be awarded for a period of 2 years with two x one year optional extension periods (2+1+1 years).

How Tenderoo reads it

This is a framework agreement: a place on it puts you on the buyer's approved list, which they call work off from over the term. It is not a single job, and a small firm can hold a place alongside national suppliers.

The notice reads as suitable for a small or medium-sized firm: the scope, value and requirements are within reach of a business of that size.
