What the buyer wants
Derbyshire County Council seeks a provider for a Pet Boarding and Animal Care Service to support emergency situations where individuals receiving Adult Social Care cannot care for their pets. The service must be responsive, flexible, welfare-focused, and collaborative with the Council and other organisations to ensure lawful and recognised animal welfare standards.
The Council is to procure a Pet Boarding and Animal Care Service that supports the delivery of statutory duties and responsibilities in emergency circumstances where an individual receiving support from Adult Social Care and Health is temporarily unable to care for their pet.
The Contract shall provide a responsive, flexible and welfare-focused service capable of supporting emergency admissions.
The Provider shall be required to deliver short term services in a manner that recognises the welfare needs of the animal. The Provider shall work collaboratively with The Council and other relevant organisations to ensure that animals are cared for safely, lawfully and in accordance with recognised standards of animal welfare.
